Hello! We’re Sheree & Clint…

In 2017, Clint’s technology career was not as fulfilling and he began dreaming about gardening. About that time, I was unexpectedly called to work for a local CPA. Through that position I met clients, Bret & Cindy Bowlin. It was truly providential. It turned out they lived down the road and we knew the same people but we had never met. They were also the owners of ATL Urban Farm. Did you say farm?!

That summer we visited their farm to learn about ATL Urban Farms and Tower Gardens. I could literally see light bulbs flashing in Clint’s eyes like paparazzi. Bret and Clint became fast friends and co-conspirators on our new road to becoming farmpreneurs!

In the beginning… When Clint & I met, I was a single working mom of four, my landscape was clover, my “garden” came from Kroger, and my diet didn’t even include greens. Clint, on the other hand, had been a professional landscaper, knew the difference between a squash and zucchini and he loved to eat (and cook!) all the things. We were made for each other. Ha! We married and life was good. We had careers and a beautiful blended family. Until…

By November 2017 Clint had formed Sweetwater Urban Farms and started building a greenhouse. From scratch. With his own hands. It was very exciting and super hard but we believed God was leading every step of the way.

2018 brought the opportunity to acquire ATL and we jumped straight into the seedling fire :-)

Every day is a blessing. Some days are more challenging than others. It’s been an exciting adventure growing food, seedlings, and ourselves. Our mission is to grow safe, nutrient-dense food for our community and teach others to do the same.
